TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR CSO'S DVORáK WIND SERENADE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY - THE CHATTANOOGAN

The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will present Dvork Wind Serenade at Ringgold First Baptist Church on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 and 7 p.m. Part of the First Horizon Instrumental Series and sponsored by OShaughnessy and Carter, the program will feature both wind and string performers on Dvork's Serenade in D minor, Mozarts charming Quartet in D Major for Flute and Strings, a movement from Mozarts Divertimento, and contemporary American composer Anne Guzzos The Bear and the Eclipse.

As a flute player, Mozarts Flute Quartet has been on my bucket list for decades, says CSO Music Director Kayoko Dan. While I will not be the one playing, I am looking forward to hearing this charming work performed by our wonderful musicians. Also on the program are Anne Guzzo's The Bear and the Eclipse, a moving story of a mother bear losing her cubs, and a movement from Mozart's Divertimento, both written for a string quintet. To close the program, we will perform Dvorak's Serenade in D Minor, a work that demonstrates luscious harmonies and beautiful melodies with a variety of instrumental color and depth provided by wind instruments and low strings.
