NASHVILLE, Tenn. A hospitality industry job fair was held at Opry Mills on Wednesday as businesses looked to fill hundreds of open positions in the tourism and convention sectors.
The hospitality industry is one of the fastest growing industries in Nashville, with the city constantly being put on lists of cities to visit in the United States, and with the city continuing to host big events like the NFL Draft, CMA Fest, as well as numerous large conventions throughout the year.
Every hotel, every restaurant, everyones hiring, so theres tons of opportunity, so you can find the right fit for you. Bailey Heidhues, talent acquisition manager for the JW Marriott, said at the job fair. Within hospitality, there is a ton of growth, and I think people when they think of hospitality, they only think of the front desk. For me, before I moved to hospitality, Im like, okay, you go to the front desk, theres housekeeping, maybe theres a restaurant. But theres so much more.
At Wednesday's event, more than 35 employers advertised job openings, representing hundreds of potential jobs, all the way from entry-level to executive-level.
