FALL START EYED FOR MIDTOWN $500M TWO-TOWER PROJECT - NASHVILLE POST

Plans to redevelop the former West End Summit site in Midtown with two towers are moving forward robustly.

Propst Development on Monday said it eyeing a fall start for Broadwest, two mixed-use buildings spanning a collective 1.2 million square feet at 1600 West End Ave. near the split with Broadway.

According to a release, one tower will feature 21 stories with more than 510,000 gross square feet of Class A office space. The second tower will rise 34 stories tall, include a 14-floor, 245-room luxury hotel and 20 floors of about 220 luxury condominium units. The office tower will be positioned closest to downtown.

The project could carry a price tag of upwards of $500M.

Connecting the Broadwest towers will be an additional 125,000 square feet of creative office and retail space along with a one-acre park at the center of the development. Broadwest also will feature a parking deck with more than 2,500 spaces.

Huntsville, Alabama-based Propst, which acquired the site in March from Alex Palmer for $36.9 million, hopes to have the office building opened by December 2020 and the hotel/condo structure opened in mid-2021. The release does not note any future office tenants.
