AMERICAN MELTDOWN FOOD TRUCK TO OPEN AT THE STREETS AT SOUTHPOINT

American Meltdown is the second Triangle food truck to be opening a counterservice restaurant at the food court at The Streets at Southpoint shopping center in Durham.

Owner Paul Inserra said the popular grilled cheese food truck was recruited to join another food truck, Porchetta RDU, to revitalize the food court at the Durham shopping center.

“We’re moving a couple doors down from Porchetta,” said Inserra, who hopes to open by Sept. 1.

Porchetta owner Nicholas Crosson said they hope to open later today (June 9) at The Streets at Southpoint after a final inspection.

Inserra said customers can expect to see the same food they serve on the truck along with expanded side items and maybe some soup when it gets colder. Don’t worry truck fans; Inserra has no plans to take the truck off the road.
