Erin Coleman, a small business owner, civil engineer, attorney and military veteran, has announced plans to join a crowded field of candidates running for Metro Council at-large.
She also announced Tuesday that attorney Bob Tuke, former Tennessee Democratic Party chairman, would be serving as her campaign treasurer.
"People like to say we're an 'IT City.' We have a great deal of momentum, but that momentum can turn in the wrong direction quickly if we don't make the right decisions in the next four years," Coleman said in a statement. "There's a lot that we love about Nashville. We need to protect that and build on it to make our city an even better place in which to live, work, and raise a family."
Coleman is president and CEO of Yad Consulting, LLC, a project management firm that provides project management experience over construction and engineering. Prior to founding Yad, she was an attorney for the United States Corps of Engineers, specializing in government construction contracts and service contracts.
