ECLIPSE PARTIES: WHERE TO WATCH THE TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE IN THE TRIANGLE

The total solar eclipse on Monday is the first to cross the entire continental U.S. since 1918, and viewing parties are being hosted across the Triangle.

Raleigh

N.C. State: From 1-4 p.m., screens will carry eclipse simulcasts[1] in the Fishbowl at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library and the Fishbowl Forum at the D.H. Hill Library. The NCSU Brickyard also will host an eclipse celebration[2] beginning at 12:30 p.m. outside the D.H. Hill Library. The events are free and open to the public.

Hibernian Irish Pub Glenwood South: 1:30 p.m. rooftop party, 311 Glenwood Ave.

Solas Raleigh: 1:30 p.m. rooftop party, 419 Glenwood Ave.

Hibernian North Raleigh: 1:30 p.m. patio party, 8021 Falls of Neuse Road.
