As Independence Day nears, Hunter Museum of American Art is hosting a gallery tour to inspire discussion of what America means to individuals today. "Beyond the Red, White and Blue: 'All American' at the Hunter" will be held today, June 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the museum, 10 Bluff View. Participants will consider what "all-American" has meant to this nation through the decades. Guests will tour bicentennial-era works from the newly installed "With Liberty and Justice for All" exhibit. Tours begin at 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. The discussion and tour is free with regular museum admission of $15 for ages 18 and older. * Also this evening, Rob Winslow, creator of Dialogues Chattanooga, will lead an in-gallery discussion focusing on whether we flock to people whose views are like our own or do we seek other opinions. "Art+Issues: Crossing the Wire for Another View" will begin at 6 p.m. * On Saturday, June 24, the museum will host Kyle House as he leads "Artful Yoga: Get Your Heart Pumping" at 1:30 p.m. Draw inspiration from a museum sculpture to sculpt your body in a rigorous practice.
