IFUNDWOMEN NASHVILLE GETS WOMEN STARTUPS OFF THE GROUND

City Farm Company founders Lakendra Davis and Shavone Holt were just about to launch a Kickstarter campaign to help open their first brick-and-mortar restaurant when they discovered iFundWomen Nashville.

The specialized crowdfunding platform founded by a former Google exec partnered with Mayor Megan Barry’s office to launch a regionally-focused platform where Nashvillians can help local women-led businesses get their companies off the ground.

What that means for Davis and Holt: with the help of the money raised on iFundWomen, the entrepreneurs can move from running a pop-up restaurant to opening in a permanent location in Marathon Village.
