CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) Domestic violence is said to happen in 1 in 3 families.
That alarming number is something the Family Justice Center wants put an end to.October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and representatives from the Family Justice Center said it is now more important than ever for people to get the help they need.Lindsey Brown is survivor of domestic violence and is one of the hundreds of people the Family Justice Center has help escape violence.A lot of people dont have a support system. I was very fortunate that my family is very close, but this place was my family, said Lindsey Brown.
The Family Justices new facility is offering a safe place for those in need of services to help put an end to their nightmare.
