As a next step in making sure every Chattanoogan makes it to the polls this election period, GoVoteCHA is offering rides to those in Hamilton County who may not be able to make it otherwise.

GoVoteCHA spent the past few weeks registering people to vote at various locations around Hamilton County.

"After five weeks of getting people registered, this is just the next logical step," said Chantelle Roberson, a local attorney who has been helping with voter registration.

Those in need of a free ride can visit GoVoteCHAs website[1] and request one on the home page.

GoVoteCHA is also stressing the need for volunteers to donate time to give rides. Volunteers will be assigned to a particular voting location on specific days to transport the people who live closest to the volunteers assigned voting location.

"We need to do this as a community," Roberson said. "This affects all of us."

For information on when and where rides will be offered, go here[2].
