American Legion Post 112 in Dalton invites the community to line the streets, honk their horns and/or wave American flags to salute the American Legion Riders as they pass through Dalton as a way of thanking these veterans for their service to the country and for their continued service through The American Legion.

Between 350 and 450 American Legion Riders will pass through Dalton on Tuesday between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

The riders will travel from exit 336 off I-75, left on Highway 41, right on Shugart Road, left on Waugh Street, right on Thornton Avenue, left on Selvidge Street, right on Waugh Street, left on Glenwood Avenue to American Legion Post 112. Immediately upon arrival, National Commander Dale Barnett and select riders and dignitaries will depart American Legion Post 112 and return to the Dalton Veterans Memorial at the Whitfield County Courthouse for a brief wreath-laying ceremony. The wreath-laying party will be escorted to the memorial and back to the post by the Dalton Police Department.

The American Legion Legacy Run is one of the largest multi-state, multi-day, cross-country motorcycle events in the United States.

American Legion Riders travel from across the country to join together in unified support.
