DALTON (GA.) SLIDES TO NO. 1 IN SUPER 25 SPRING BOYS SOCCER RANKINGS

The two teams at the top of the USA TODAY High School Sports/National Soccer Coaches Association of America Super 25 preseason spring boys soccer rankings have switched places in the initial rankings of the regular season.

Dalton (Ga.), which is off to a 6-0-1 start, moved into the No. 1 spot. The Catamounts are riding an unbeaten streak that has now pushed beyond 70 games.

Wando (S.C.) drops one slot to No. 2 despite getting off to a 7-0 start. Wando is coming off consecutive South Carolina Class AAAA title game appearances and the title in 2014.

Chattohoochee (Johns Creek, Ga.) moves up from No. 7 to No. 3 and has outscored its opponent by a count of 40-3 thus far in going 9-0.

Norman North (Norman, Okla.) remains No. 4 followed by Langley (McLean, Va.) at No. 5.

Among the newcomers are Puyallup (Wash.) at No. 9, Mauldin (S.C.) at No. 10, Whitewater (Fayetteville, Ga.) at No. 13, Deer Creek (Edmond, Okla.) at No. 17, Northside (Fort Smith, Ark.) at No. 18, Norcross (Ga.) at No. 19 and Camas (Wash.) at No. 20.
